Dance & Movement

Dance was my first love before I dove into the world of visual art. Now I weave its fluidity, storytelling, and embodied presence into my fine art practice whenever I can. I danced pre-professionally in my youth, trained in all styles. I’ve grown toward contemporary, choreography, and improvisation for its expressive and intuitive qualities, as well as opportunity for collaboration.

“Fresh” Student Choreography Showcase CU Boulder Dance Department 2024

"‘Come Down’ is a love letter to Boulder Creek, capturing the quiet intimacy between body and landscape. The piece functions as a duet between dancer and nature, as sunlight filters through fabric, movements ripple across the water, and summer’s beauty overtakes the senses. Through this interplay, the work evokes nostalgia, reverence, and a deepened awe for the natural world.

'"‘Parallelograms’ reflects the emotional rupture caused by personal events in my life—where moments of safety and joy were instantly overtaken by fear and hyper-vigilance. The choreography is supported by euphoric yet haunting music, and the symbolic black fabric inspired by Martha Graham’s "Lamentation" physically manifests this internal battle. As the dance unfolds, the work moves from bliss to constriction, and eventually to liberation, offering space for both personal healing and shared emotional resonance.”
